Step back in time at the Wimberley Institute of Cultures and Wimberley Valley Museum, where the rich history of the area's early settlers comes to life.
Housed in the historic Winters-Wimberley House, the Wimberley Valley Museum offers a unique journey into the past. Rather than a traditional collection of artifacts, this picture and story museum features engaging storyboards that detail the lives of early settlers and the families who shaped the town. Visitors can learn about the original mill operators and see recreated period furniture, including pieces inspired by the noted furniture maker William Carvin Winters.
The museum is open on the first and third Saturday of each month from 10 AM to 4 PM. You can also visit by making a reservation via email or phone.
Admission to the museum is completely free, though tax-deductible donations are greatly appreciated to help fund ongoing preservation efforts.
The museum is located in the historic Winters-Wimberley House at 14068 Ranch Road 12 in Wimberley, Texas.
